Structural Mate was developed as an educational and reference tool for students and engineers.
The app has the following features:
- A database of all the common South African structural steel section properties
- Calculate the maximum allowable axial compression resistance for most common South African hot rolled sections according to SANS 10162
- Calculate deflections, shear force and bending moment diagrams for statically indeterminate beams
- Calculate the maximum allowable bending resistance for most common South African hot rolled sections according to SANS 10162
